I am a huge Halloween fan and have been to many haunted attractions. After being to so many haunted attractions over the years, it became easy for me to tell which attractions were really good and which were not so good. Which ones really put a lot of effort into their attractions, which ones really catered to their customers and which ones didn't.
In 2010, I realized that many people that frequent haunted attractions may view it as a benefit to be able to read a review or a critique of haunted attractions before they fork over $15, $20, $25 or even more money. How scary was the attraction? How was the overall experience? Did they have concessions? Did they sell souvenirs? How expensive was everything? How long will they wait in line to get tickets? How long will they wait to get into the attractions? How was the staff? How were the actors? Do you get bang for your buck?
These are all important questions to have answered before you fork over your hard earned money. Is it worth travel time, gas and food money that you may spend during your experience?
I visit as many haunted attractions as I can every year and some I visit multiple times, if they are good enough to keep me coming back! I do my best to pay attention to all the details so I can report them in my critique. This critique is simply my opinion and is what I experienced on a given night at a given time. You may have a different experience than I had on a different night.
To the owners of these attractions, I try my best to be as honest as possible about your attraction and what I experienced at the time and day I was there. It is in no way a reflection of your attraction as a whole. It is just simply what I experienced on a given night at a given time. It is an honest opinion with constructive criticism from a big fan of what you guys do. I hope you take my critique with that in mind as I certainly want every haunted attraction I visit to be a 5 rated attraction!
I have created my own rating system that you will see on each critique, as well as, a ranking page that sums it all up (see RANKINGS).
